1. Dr.Kim, In Kyu and Ayazhan attended the 2025 Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting in Washington D.C.

1. Three group members (Dr. Mohammad Rahmani, Dr. Santosh Kommidi, and Dr. Abdullah Azzam) attended the 2024 Fall Doctoral graduation ceremony with Dr. Kim.

1. Santosh successfully defended his Ph.D dissertation titled of “Computational Modeling of Damage in Critical Infrastructure: Roadways and Railroads”. Congratulations to Dr. Santosh Kommidi for passing his Ph.D Defense.
2. Abdullah successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation titled of “Development of Test Methods to Characterize Desiccation Behavior of inorganic Microfiber-Reinforced Engineered Barrier Material for Nuclear Waste Geological Repository”. Congratulations to Dr. Abdullah Azzam for passing his Ph.D. Defense.

1. Congratulations to Mohammad for winning the 3-Minute (3MT) competition as the 1st winner organized by Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University. The purpose of this competition was to convey student’s research concisely to non-specialist audiences in just 3 minutes.

Dr. Kim joined the Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University in January 2020. Five PhD students (Gabriel Nsengiyumva, Santosh Kommidi, Shayan Gholami, Mohammad Rahmani, Abdullah Azzam) joined Dr. Kim’s research program.
